Build Conference
Client: Alliant Insurance Services (Employee Benefits & Mid-Market divisions)
Date: January 2018
Role: Theme idea, Design, Production design, and Art direction
The Alliant Americas + Employee Benefits sales conference was a huge feat for the company’s in-house creative team. With only 3 designers and a creative director, we were able to pull off an event that executives would later call their “best conference to-date.”
From concept to conception, we were able to not only brand the event, but also create many collateral pieces including signage, agendas, name tags, bags, banners, swag, over 15 presentations, printed handouts for breakout sessions, and registration booth.
My initial idea was to have vector letterforms that looked three-dimensional. I wanted each letterform to have various layers and show them coming together to build the full form.
After seeing my initial concept comps, the team decided that they wanted to explore creating letter forms in a 3D space rather than utilizing vector art. I provided art direction in the form of sketches and vector examples of each letter. The final images used on the materials, swag, etc. for the conference were created in Blender based off of my sketches and art direction.
